The Domaine Faiveley vineyard is rooted in clay-limestone soils, ideal for growing Chardonnay. The vines, some several decades old, benefit from a perfect microclimate, where sunny days are tempered by cool nights. This combination promotes a slow and even ripening of the grapes, developing aromatic complexity and a beautiful acidity, essential for crafting great white wines.

Owner and history

Domaine Faiveley is now run by the seventh generation of the Faiveley family, who perpetuate a tradition of excellence. Passionate about their land and its history, the owners have modernized the estate while respecting time-honored methods. Their commitment to quality and sustainability is reflected in every bottle, making Faiveley an ambassador for Burgundy's great wines on the international stage.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for the 2024 Corton-Charlemagne is carried out with exceptional care. After a manual harvest, the grapes are meticulously selected. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, some of which are new, enriching the wine without masking its fruity expression. Aging on fine lees for several months gives the wine a silky texture and deeper aromas, while preserving the essential freshness of the terroir.
