The vineyard ofEchezeaux Grand Cru The vineyards extend across clay-limestone soils, ideal for growing Pinot Noir. The vines, several decades old, benefit from a perfect microclimate, with a southeast exposure that promotes optimal grape ripening. This terroir, rich in minerals, gives the wine unparalleled aromatic complexity. Environmentally friendly viticultural practices, though not disclosed, are central to the philosophy of Louis Jadot, ensuring respect for this precious soil.

Owner and history

The trading house Louis Jadot The winery has been owned by the Kopf family since 1985 (three sisters). Thomas Seiter has been its president since 2022. Thibault Gagey, son of Pierre-Henry, has also been the managing director since 2022, and Frédéric Barnier is the technical director (who succeeded Jacques Lardière in 2010). Their passion for Burgundy and its terroir is reflected in every bottle, guaranteeing authentic and refined wines that delight wine lovers worldwide.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking processEchezeaux Grand Cru The 2024 vintage follows Burgundian traditions with meticulous care. The harvest is done by hand, guaranteeing rigorous grape selection. After partial destemming, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks to preserve the freshness of the aromas. Aging occurs in oak barrels, some of which are new, to impart a subtle touch of wood without masking the fruit. This aging method allows the wine to develop a beautiful complexity and harmoniously integrate its aromas, thus ensuring remarkable longevity.
