The Domaine Faiveley vineyard stretches across exceptional terroirs, primarily composed of marl and clay, characteristic of Burgundy. These limestone-rich soils allow the Chardonnay grapes to fully flourish, developing complex aromas and a beautiful minerality. The region's temperate climate, with oceanic influences, promotes a slow and balanced ripening of the grapes, thus guaranteeing optimal quality. The vines are cultivated with care, respecting the principles of sustainable viticulture, to preserve biodiversity and soil health.

Owner and history

Today managed by the Faiveley family, the estate is in the hands of the seventh generation. Passionate about their craft, they perpetuate a savoir-faire passed down from father to son. Each member of the family is involved in the estate, ensuring the preservation of heritage while embracing innovation. Their commitment to quality and respect for the terroir is reflected in wines that tell the story of their land. The Faiveley family is dedicated to showcasing the richness of Burgundy's appellations through authentic and memorable wines.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process at Domaine Faiveley follows traditional methods combined with modern techniques. After hand-harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed to extract the juice. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of the fruit, followed by aging in oak barrels, some of which are new. This aging process lasts approximately 12 months, allowing the wine to develop richer woody nuances while retaining its character. The blends are carefully crafted to create wines that reflect the identity of the terroir and the philosophy of the estate.
