The Château Clerc Milon vineyard stretches across clay-limestone soils, characteristic of the Pauillac region. Bathed in sunshine and influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, these lands offer an ideal microclimate for grape ripening. The meticulously tended vines benefit from optimal sun exposure, promoting the full expression of the grape varieties. The diversity of the plots allows for the production of rich and complex wines, reflecting an exceptional terroir.

    Owner and history

Currently, Château Clerc Milon is managed by the Rothschild family, who have breathed new life into the estate since its acquisition in 1970. Under their guidance, Clerc Milon has seen its viticultural and winemaking methods modernized while preserving the authenticity of its terroir. The owners pay meticulous attention to every stage of production, from vine to glass, with the aim of producing wines of exceptional quality, reflecting their passion for the art of winemaking.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Clerc Milon is a meticulous process, blending tradition and modernity. The hand-harvested grapes guarantee the selection of the finest fruit. After careful destemming, alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for optimal temperature management. Aging then occurs in oak barrels, some of which are new, for approximately 12 to 18 months. This maturation process imparts structure, complexity, and aging potential to the wine.
