An exceptional terroir
The best of the Pauillac appellation
THEChâteau PédesclauxIt rests on a geological marvel 40 million years old. Indeed, this unique terroir, typical of theMedoc, is both complex and elegant. Thanks to the mosaic of soils, the clay brings power to the wine, while the gravel contributes expression and elegance. Regarding the grape varieties, we find:
- 50% Cabernet Sauvignon,
- 45% Merlot
- and Cabernet Franc at 5%.
To get the best from the vines, the vineyard is managed using sustainable farming practices, with partial tilling and cover cropping, and regular interventions to ensure quality while controlling yields. If you are more drawn to their Grand Cru, expect a dense and structured Pauillac, with a truly unique voluptuousness. It is an excellent wine for aging that you can enjoy without any problem after a few years. As for their second wine, “Fleur de Pédesclaux,” you will taste a softer, very tender and luscious wine, with intense and flavorful fruit aromas. You can enjoy it in its youth or wait a few years for it to mature.
