Founded in 1766, theCount Georges de Vogüé Estateis one of the oldest properties in Burgundy. The family that owns the estate today already owned it before the Revolution. It was then passed down from generation to generation, perpetuating the family's know-how and passion.Count Georges de VogüéHe ran it with determination from 1925 until his death in 1987. Since then, his daughter, Elisabeth, Baroness de Ladoucette, has taken over the estate, assisted by her granddaughters. The lands of Chambolle-Musigny
In the heart of the Grands Crus and Premiers Crus
Today, withGrands CrusAndPremier Crus, THEDomaine de Vogüécultivates 12 hectares of magnificent plots in Chambolle-Musigny. With 7.20 hectares of vines in Musigny Grand Cru, including 65 ares in Musigny Blanc, the estate owns three-quarters of the appellation.Musigny(10 hectares in total). On tasting, Musigny Grand Cru wines express more body than minerality. However, they still preserve the Chambolle style. Indeed, red Musigny has always been characterized by consistency, refinement, and longevity.
The estate also owns 2.70 hectares of Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru in the southeastern part of the estate, on a terroir of "red soils". And also parcels of "Les Amoureuses Premier Cru" covering 0.7 hectares.
Musigny Blanc
The Grand Cru White of the Côte-de-Nuits
Started in the 1993 vintage, theMusigny BlancofComte de Vogüé Estateis the only white grape variety planted on theCôte-de-NuitsIt is a unique and exclusive feature of the estate to possess 65 ares of plots planted with white grape varieties surrounding the red grape varieties of Musigny. These vines are approximately twenty years old. They are located on the upper part of the slope, on white marl soil. It is currently sold under the Bourgogne Blanc appellation but adheres to the same specifications as a Grand Cru. 2015 was the first vintage of Musigny Blanc after a 22-year wait. It is among the silkiest and most elegant wines of Burgundy.
