This appellation, considered the southernmost in Corsica, holds the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) label. Its vineyards stretch along the entire west coast of the Isle of Beauty and boast granite soil, which contributes to the wines' great diversity. Indeed, the appellation produces crisp and light dry white wines, supple red wines, and delicate rosés. Discover our selection of Corsican wines at Cavissima.

Vines have been cultivated in what is now the Vin de Corse-Figari AOC since the 5th century BC. This very old vineyard is located in the far south of Corsica, straddling the towns of Monacia d'Aullène, Pianottoli Caldarello, and Figari. The subsoil is granitic and semi-alluvial, and the grape varieties grown are primarily indigenous. Red, white, and rosé wines are produced in this appellation .

      Clos Canarelli

Yves Canarelli is a well-known Corsican winemaker who, a few years ago, took over a very old vineyard in Bonifacio with sommelier Patrick Fioramonti . At Clos Canarelli, they produce white , rosé , and red wines together and are reviving old indigenous grape varieties . The estate is also in conversion to biodynamic farming , with Biodyvin and Ecocert certifications.

Clos Canarelli red is made from Niellucciu and Syrah grapes. It's a structured and very fruity wine , best enjoyed within five years. Bianco Gentile is a beautifully delicate dry white wine made from the grape variety of the same name. On the palate, it is floral and very aromatic.

The Amphora cuvée exists in white and red: it designates wines aged in clay amphorae.
