Beaucastel Castle

Located in the commune of Courthézon, Château de Beaucastel spans 130 hectares, 100 of which are under vine. The landscape harmoniously blends truffle oaks, olive trees, and garrigue scrubland , at the heart of an emblematic terroir covered in rounded pebbles . These stones absorb the day's heat and release it at night, promoting optimal grape ripening. The Mistral wind , sweeping through the hills of the appellation, naturally purifies the vines. Beaucastel is one of the few estates to cultivate all 13 authorized grape varieties of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with a predominance of Mourvèdre , the estate's signature grape.

Following in their father Jacques Perrin's footsteps, Jean-Pierre and François Perrin took over the management of the estate and significantly contributed to its renown. They developed the Famille Perrin wine merchant business, acquired Château des Tourelles in Gigondas , and forged a legendary collaboration with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt around the famous Miraval . In 2006, the family joined the prestigious Primum Familiae Vini , a circle that unites the world's leading winemaking families. Today, the fifth generation passionately perpetuates this tradition of excellence.

A visionary, Jacques Perrin introduced organic farming in the 1950s, before converting the estate to biodynamics in 1974. This approach, based on respect for and stimulation of nature, remains at the heart of the Perrin philosophy.

The art of blending is the guiding principle of the estate: each grape variety is vinified separately to express its personality, before being brought together in a subtle harmony combining power, structure, elegance and freshness .
