Owner and history

The Genevrières vineyard, located on the hills above Meursault, rests on rich, well-drained limestone soils, ideal for the Chardonnay grape. Its southeast exposure allows for perfect ripening of the grapes, giving this cuvée incomparable minerality and depth. Louis Jadot takes particular care in cultivating these vines with respect for nature, in order to preserve the authenticity of this exceptional terroir.

Vinification and aging

Louis Jadot employs traditional winemaking techniques for this Genevrières, aiming to capture the full richness of the terroir. The grapes are harvested by hand, allowing for rigorous selection. The Meursault Premier Cru Genevrières is then vinified in oak barrels, where it undergoes a fermentation that preserves its aromatic profile. Aging in French oak barrels for several months adds structure and complexity, balancing the wine's fruity aromas and minerality. This meticulous process allows the wine to express itself with elegance and depth.
