THE Château Vannières is one of the most emblematic estates of the Bandol AOP appellation. Located in La Cadière-d'Azur in the Var region, in the heart of a natural amphitheater overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, this domaine historically, it has origins that date back to the 16th century.

Owner and history

Passed down since the 1950s by the Boisseaux family — originally from Burgundy —, the château It combines the Burgundian tradition of seeking great wines for aging with the authenticity of Provençal terroirs. The vines, planted on clay-limestone terraces, benefit from ideal sunshine and sea breezes, which promotes a slow and balanced ripening of the grapes.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Vannières is a meticulous art, blending tradition and innovation. The grapes are harvested by hand, guaranteeing their quality. After careful destemming, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, preserving the freshness of the aromas. Aging occurs in oak barrels, where the wine develops its complexity while subtly incorporating the woody notes. This process, combined with rigorous temperature control, results in wines of great elegance and beautiful structure.

The team's opinion

A deep and generous Bandol, where blackcurrant, blueberry, pepper and spices flourish in an enveloping texture with silky tannins, carried by a long finish and the remarkable aging potential of Mourvèdre.
