Numerous families have occupied the castle in turn; renovations, the construction of vats and cellars are ongoing. The castle is part of the heritage ofAlain Reynaudin 1997. In 2008Bernard Arnault(LVMH) and theBaron Albert Frère(major financier) acquire the estate. LVMH later absorbs the entire property.
The transition to organic viticulture began in 2009. Certification was awarded in 2012.Château Quinault l'Enclos.

The 20-hectare vineyard is surrounded by walls. The Merlot (85%), Cabernet Franc (12%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) vines are thus protected from the prying eyes of curious wine enthusiasts.
Taking advantage of themicroclimateThanks to the Dordogne River, the vineyard stretches across the crest of a gravelly hill. This gravelly terroir has a subsoil of sandy clay. The vines are planted on gentle slopes, which allow for excellent drainage. This unique location produces a wine of exceptional quality.
Cabernet Sauvignon was introduced to the vineyard by the team at Château Cheval Blanc, who manage the estate. This initiative allows for the expression of floral aromas in the glass.
