There Cuvée William Deutz 2014 is the quintessence of the style of the House of Deutz (founded in 1838 in Aÿ). Named after the founder, This prestigious vintage is only produced in exceptional years capable of combining fullness of texture,Aromatic precision and great aging potential.
The 2014 vintage in Champagne — marked by a mild and rainy winter, a dry and bright spring, followed by a cool August before a providential return of heat and sun in September — produced wines of great distinction, where the chalky freshness underlies a generous material.

Tasting notes
The dress, a deep and luminous gold, hints at the density of la cuvée. The warm bouquet unfolds with aromas of stewed exotic fruits, roasted hazelnut, frangipane, and licorice, enhanced by touches of pepper and turmeric. On the palate, the wine is noble, ample, complex, and enveloping, carried by notes of candied fruit and toast. The long finish reveals the full depth of the vintage and the imprint of great terroirs. A majestic wine, whose restrained energy reveals its full grandeur.

The team's opinion
La Cuvée William Deutz 2014 shines with its harmony between the vinous opulence of the great Pinot Noirs of Aÿ and the chiseled tension of the Chardonnays of the Côte des Blancs. Fully developed and already very expressive after its long years on the lees, this champagne has the foundation and structure to continue to grow richer over 10 to 15 years (2025–2040+).
