Producer

Producer

The Château d'Issan vineyard is a jewel of 37 hectares, planted on clay-gravel soils characteristic of the Margaux appellation. The vines, averaging 30 years old, are cultivated with care, allowing for an authentic expression of the terroir. The proximity of the Garonne River provides a beneficial climatic influence, promoting optimal grape ripening. Each plot is meticulously tended to guarantee the quality of the fruit, a true reflection of the estate's identity.

Owner and history

Today, Château d'Issan is managed by the Cruse family, who have breathed new life into the estate while preserving its heritage. Their commitment to quality and authenticity is reflected in every wine they produce. Passionate about their terroir, they work with an environmentally conscious approach, striving to bring out the best in each vintage. This philosophy allows Château d'Issan to establish itself as one of the jewels of Margaux.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château d'Issan is a meticulous process, blending tradition and innovation. The hand-harvested grapes are rigorously sorted before being vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This step preserves the freshness and aromas of the fruit. Aging for 16 to 18 months in barrels, some of which are new, gives the wine its complexity and depth. Every detail counts in enhancing the potential of this promising vintage.
