Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Duhart-Milon It is a meticulous process that begins with the hand-harvesting of fully ripe grapes. After rigorous sorting, the berries are destemmed and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for optimal extraction of aromas and tannins. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, for 12 to 14 months. This crucial step imparts subtle woody notes to the wine while preserving its fruitiness. The final blend reflects the harmony of the grape varieties, resulting in a wine that is both powerful and elegant.
