Currently, the Château Gruaud Larose is run by the Merlaut family, who acquired the domaine in 1997. Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Gruaud Larose The wine is made with a constant focus on respecting the fruit. Hand-harvesting ensures rigorous grape selection. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for precise temperature management and the delicate extraction of aromas. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, for a period of 12 to 18 months.
