    Owner and history

    The La Tour Carnet vineyard benefits from a truly unique mosaic of terroirs across its 73 hectares. The vineyard cultivates four red grape varieties (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot) and four white grape varieties (Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Sauvignon Gris, and Muscadelle). Since 2013, concerned about climate change and its potential impact on the historically cultivated grape varieties, the château has implemented an experimental program involving 75 different grape varieties to identify the grape variety or varieties of the future.

    Vinification and aging

    - The grapes are sorted using optical sorting
    - The wines are aged in new barrels for 1/3 of the harvest, in barrels that have held one wine for 1/3 and in vats.
