    Owner and history

This property comprises exactly 53 hectares of vines (46 ha of red and 7 ha of white) planted on a layer of gravel and a subsoil of shelly limestone. The dominant grape variety is Sauvignon Blanc at 80%, followed by Merlot at 45%, Cabernet Sauvignon at 45%, Cabernet Franc at 8%, and Petit Verdot at 2%.

    Vinification and aging

The Bonnie family has always been attentive to the environment of its vineyard and the impact of the work carried out by its teams on the vines, the grapes, but also on the surrounding area: habitats, fauna, flora, and waterways near the plots. Several large-scale best practices have been implemented on the estate since 1997, such as sustainable vineyard management (complete tilling, zero herbicides, targeted treatments, integrated pest management practices (planting kilometers of diverse hedgerows, wildflower fallows, etc.)).
The property has been certified as practicing sustainable agriculture since 2008.
Designed with architect Bernard Mazières in 1998, the Malartic-Lagravière winery is one of the first to house a completely gravity-fed grape transport process: manual harvesting in crates, double sorting with vibrating tables, transport of the grapes exclusively by gravity (tanks then barrels).
