Tasting notes

Deep ruby in colour. The nose reveals a palette of red and dark fruits and a characteristic clay coolness. On the palate, the attack is confident and generous, carried by a gentle, silky tannic framework. The 2025 vintage offers a contrast between rich, enveloping texture and aromatic lift and finesse.

Opposite Ausone, a rare terroir stands apart

Farmed by our family since 1921, Moulin Saint-Georges is a confidential seven-hectare estate on the west and north-west facing slopes that mirror Ausone. In shaping this cooler, clay-rich hillside, the Fongaban stream gave rise to a mill belonging to the Saint-Georges seigneury, lending the estate its name. The terroir yields a darker, more brooding expression of Saint-Émilion, wines that are deeply rewarding for those with the patience to follow their evolution. A quiet, uncompromising favourite of devotees and collectors.

2025 VINTAGE.

The west and north-west-facing slopes offered a natural counterbalance to the season’s two heatwaves, preserving the freshness and acidity that define this terroir. The Merlot, the dominant variety, delivers a dense, enveloping core, while the Cabernet Franc, particularly expressive, brings an ethereal lift and freshness.
