    Owner and history

    Since taking over the management of Château Pape Clément, Bernard Magrez has been committed to guiding the vineyard to absolute perfection. He has therefore steered the estate's management towards sustainable agriculture, respecting the exceptional terroir, with the aim of producing the greatest possible wines. Château Pape Clément, now spanning 32.5 hectares, benefits from gravelly-sandy and clay-limestone soils, and a limestone subsoil rich in iron. This exceptional terroir, combined with grape varieties perfectly suited to the soil quality, offers the potential to produce great wines worthy of the Grand Cru Classé designation. The estate produces both red and white wines. The reds are made from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, while the whites are made from 45% Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, and 10% Muscadelle.
