The Château Pavie vineyard covers 37 hectares in a single block, planted on the renowned clay-limestone soils of the plateau and southern slopes of Saint-Émilion. The south-facing exposure, combined with ideal natural drainage, allows for slow and complete ripening of the grapes. The vines, whose average age exceeds 45 years, are cultivated with meticulous care, respecting the natural balance. This mosaic of soils and altitudes gives Pavie wines unparalleled depth and aromatic complexity.

Owner and history

Since its acquisition in 1998 by Gérard Perse, a former businessman with a passion for wine, Château Pavie has experienced a spectacular rise. His clear vision, massive investment in the vineyard and infrastructure, and constant pursuit of perfection have propelled the estate to the top of the Saint-Émilion classification. Surrounded by a team of renowned experts and consultants, Gérard Perse has unlocked the full potential of the Pavie terroir. His unwavering commitment continues to shape the history of this now legendary wine.

Vinification and aging

At Château Pavie, the winemaking is precise and plot-by-plot: the grapes, harvested by hand, are meticulously sorted before vinification in temperature-controlled wooden vats.
The 2024 vintage benefited from aging for 18 to 24 months in new French oak barrels, giving it structure, woody elegance and immense aging potential.
