Owner and history

The Clos du Marquis vineyard is located 500m west of the Léoville Las Cases enclosure. The grape variety is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines are on average thirty years old and the soil is composed mainly of very fine and very old Quaternary gravel.

Vinification and aging

- Hand-harvested grapes
- Winemaking in large wooden, cement or stainless steel vats
- Aged for 20 months in oak barrels (25% new)
