    Owner and history

    The Coulée de Serrant vineyard covers just 7 hectares, cultivated biodynamically since 1981. Planted on schist and quartz soils, this unique terroir imparts a distinctive personality to the wine, characterized by pronounced minerality and vibrant tension. Facing due south, the vines, averaging 35 to 50 years old, are harvested by hand in several successive passes to select only the ripest and most concentrated grapes. This rigorous selection process guarantees wines of remarkable precision, authentic reflections of their terroir.

    Vinification and aging

    Winemaking at Domaine de la Coulée de Serrant follows a minimalist approach, favoring the pure expression of the fruit and terroir. After meticulous harvesting, the grapes are slowly pressed and fermented naturally using indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged in oak barrels that have previously held several vintages, for a period of 6 to 12 months, allowing it to gain complexity without masking its original freshness. This method ensures an authentic and vibrant expression of Chenin Blanc, offering exceptional aging potential.
