Les vignes du domaine M.Chapoutier se situent sur les pentes escarpées de l'Hermitage, où les sols sont principalement composés de granit et d'argile. Ce terroir unique permet à la Syrah de s'épanouir, lui conférant une richesse aromatique exceptionnelle. Le climat, avec des étés chauds et des hivers frais, favorise une maturation optimale des raisins, garantissant une belle concentration de saveurs. Les vignes, âgées de plusieurs décennies, sont cultivées selon des méthodes biodynamiques, respectant ainsi l'équilibre naturel du sol et de la vigne.

Owner and history

Located on the sunny slopes of the Ermitage appellation, the vineyard benefits from ideal exposure and soils rich in rolled pebbles and clay. The Syrah vines, over 50 years old, produce grapes of exceptional quality, thanks to a unique terroir that gives the wine its structure and complexity. The vineyard is cultivated according to biodynamic principles.

Vinification and aging

Harvested by hand at full maturity, followed by sorting of the grapes.
Vinification in open vats, with regular punch-downs to extract the best aromas and tannins.
Aged in French oak barrels for 18 to 20 months
