Owner and history

Today, the Château Branaire-Ducru is run by the Maroteaux family, who acquired the domaine in the 1980s. Under their leadership, the château has experienced a revival, blending tradition and innovation. Their passion for wine and their respect for the terroir are reflected in every bottle produced. The family is committed to promoting quality and authenticity, while preserving the history and reputation of the domaine. Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Branaire-Ducru The winemaking process is carried out with the utmost care. The carefully selected grapes are destemmed and crushed before being placed in vats. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature to preserve the aromas. Aging in oak barrels, some of which are new, lasts approximately 12 to 18 months, imparting complexity and roundness to the wine. This meticulous process results in a balanced wine, where the power of the tannins blends with the finesse of the aromas.
