    Owner and history

The Château Léoville Poyferré vineyard covers approximately 80 hectares in the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation. It is a prime example of the diversity and richness of Bordeaux's terroirs. Rooted in a mosaic of soils primarily composed of gravel, it benefits from optimal conditions for vine cultivation. The vineyard is meticulously divided into parcels, each receiving specific attention. The planting density of approximately 8,500 vines per hectare and the high average age of the vines allow for a greater concentration of aromas and flavors in the grapes.

    Vinification and aging

    - Parcel selection
    - Cold pre-fermentation maceration (6-8 days)
    - Alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts
