Owner and history

THE Château Latour today belongs to the holding company of François Pinault, a businessman passionate about art and wine. Under his direction, the domaine continues to thrive while respecting its centuries-old traditions. Pinault's vision is to maintain the Château Latour at the pinnacle of excellence, ensuring that each bottle reflects the craftsmanship and heritage of domaine. This modern approach, combined with traditional methods, ensures the continued existence of this Bordeaux icon.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Latour is a meticulous process, combining tradition and innovation. The grapes, harvested by hand, are carefully sorted before being vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for precise temperature control. Aging takes place in oak barrels, a large proportion of which are new, for approximately 18 months. This gives the wines their structure, complexity, and aging potential. Each step is designed to enhance the expression of the unique terroir of Latour.
