    Description

Château des Jacques, the iconic cuvée of Moulin-à-Vent , lives up to all its promises!

92/100 pts ROBERT PARKERThis is a lush expression of the vintage , with a fruity core of juicy red and black currants, cherries, and red plums, with hints of lilac petals, dried sage, sweet spices, and white pepper. On the medium-bodied palate, the tannins are finely woven and delicately support the succulent and impressively concentrated flavors , resulting in a supple and fluid mouthfeel with a tangy finish. This is one of the most approachable wines in the estate's 2021 range.

Terroir : The 2021 Moulin-à-Vent comes from eight different vineyards: Rochegrès, Carquelin, Champ de Cour, Thorins, Les Vérillats, La Roche, La Rochelle and Les Caves. Granitic subsoil rich in manganese.

Winemaking : the grapes macerate slowly for 3 to 4 weeks .

The Louis Jadot winery purchased Château des Jacques in 1996. It is located in Romanèche- Thorins , in the Beaujolais region south of Burgundy. This estate comprises 30 hectares of vineyards in the Moulin-à-Vent appellation.

"In just a few years, this estate has become the benchmark for ambitious Beaujolais wines and the preferred source for those who believe that wines as respectable as those from the Côte d'Or can be produced here." RVF
